From a young age, I have enjoyed being around people and helping others. This led to my interest leading and serving young kids in church since I was in 4th grade and my desire to eventually have a career as a physical therapist.
My older sister is my inspiration, as she was an amazing athlete. She had to give up two of her greatest loves, running and soccer, due to a rare genetic disorder that forced her to have six surgeries. I have seen her hard work and determination throughout her recoveries. She has further motivated me to want to be a physical therapist and showed me the importance of taking care of myself and weight training to help prevent injuries.
My athletic passion is soccer. I started at age five playing for a local team and at home with my three siblings. My dad even created a mini-field in the backyard under lights so we could keep playing at night. As our winters came, we moved indoors to our basement, taping field lines to continue playing soccer and ladder training. I love soccer because it is a team sport. To me, each practice and game is like the start of a new season! I am excited to give my best effort each time I step on the field or in the gym.
My hope and desire is to play soccer at the collegiate level by attending a school with strong soccer and physical therapy programs. I would be excited and honored to represent a university both on and off the soccer field!
