Brenna Cockerill '14 Recruiting Profile

I am 5 foot 5 inches, and weigh 120 pounds.  I have been playing soccer for 12 years. I have been playing travel soccer for 9 years, with the past 5 years being with the Michigan Novi Jaguars. We are in the MRL and took second place last season.  As a freshman I played Junior Varisty at Brighton High School, where I was elected as the main captain of the team and started as center mid every game. I have been the captain for the Novi Jags for 4 years now. 
Along with being the captain, I feel I am a leader in how I try to improve myself outside of practice. I train on my own at home, and take part in extra training throughout the year both with my club and in individual training sessions. I have been told by several coaches that one of my strenghts as a player is having great vision of the field. I think one of my strengths is that I have the ability to use both feet for dribbling and shooting which gives me opportunities to make great plays. 
I mainly want to play in the mid west, but I am open to the idea of playing in the east or midatlantic area  of the US.  I would fit into a suburban or urban school. I think  a medium or large school would be a good fit  because I am friendly and want to meet new people but again I am open to all options.  I have not narrowed down a major but I may be interested in business. 
I would like to join a team and be able to make an impact as a freshman. I am excited to learn about a variety of schools and the soccer and academic programs that they have available.
