When I was younger I played many sports such as softball (which I still play), gymnastics, basketball, and track, but soccer had stuck out to me amongst all the others. Since then soccer has always been my go to sport of choice. The endurance and skill involved intrigued and still intrigues me to this day. I have a driven passion for the game and want to soak up every ounce of information that I can in order to become I better player. I always make sure what I do on my right, I can do on my left, and with that mindset and determination, I have become a player that is comfortable switching to either foot. I believe technique is only a small part of the game and what is in your head is most important. I can read the like no other on the teams I have been on and I can visaully anticipate plays before they are carried out. I can tell what they are thinking before they do and I have good instinct. I come from a family of values and one of which is academics. I tried out for the varsity team this year, but they had only two roster openings for a defensive position, so I was put on JV instead. I am thankful for the opportunity because it was humbling and allowed me to gain confidence and leadership for the next season. I know now I will work so much harder over the summer to show I deserve that varsity spot. School is very important to me and I make sure that I get homework done early to free up more time for practice. I am currently a straight A student and wish to maintain that goal for the rest of my high school career. I would love to play soccer and college because it is the sport I love. I will train hard and work harder every day. Soccer is not part of me it is who I am. Whether it is watching or playing soccer my mind is always in the game and I know it will be that way forever.
