I want to play soccer at the collegiate level as I am a firm believer that athletics, and being part of a team, provides the structure that will prepare me for a successful professional life after college. I am the goalkeeper for Ames High School in Ames, Iowa and lead the Central Iowa Metro League (CIML) in saves as a freshman during the 2012 season. I was named 2nd team all-conference and was also a member of the all-conference all-academic team. My sophomore season (2013) I again lead the CIML in saves and was named first team at Northern Division and Second team All-CIML. I was also named Second Team All-State.
The fall 2013 soccer season I joined the Iowa Rush U17 team where I was the starting keeper. The highlight of the season was winning the Iowa State Cup. My team will compete in Dayton, OH in the regional tournament in June of 2014.
My primary goals are to continue to develop and refine my skills so that I can help my team win another CIML title, win a state championship, and ultimately position myself to play for a competitive soccer program after high school.
I also play basketball, volunteer for a number of local causes, and enjoy reading.
I am undecided on a major but am interested in Physical Therapy, Business, and Law.
