Carianne Sobey '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Carianne Sobey. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to play soccer at the next level: college. On or off the field I have high expectations for myself, am extremely competitive, work hard, am confident, and push to be my best. My coaches and teachers will tell you that I am a leader, have good character, and respect authority. In school I have a 4.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I am involved in the National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, Key Club, Class Council and am a Star Mentor for underclass students. I am active in my church youth group and Sunday School. In soccer, I am captain of my club team, Chicago Magic, which placed 3rd at SYL Nationals in 2010. I have been very fortunate to train under great coaches and have seized every opportunity to take advantage of that. I understand that a good player is made before they set foot on the game field and I am ready to work hard to earn my spot. I am anxious to bring my drive, leadership, and attitude to the college game. Wanting to find the school and team best suited for me, I am open to college size and location. I am, as of now, undecided about a major. I am looking for a team where I can help make a difference and am willing to play where I can best help.
