July 2012Personal Statement
I love being a goalkeeper and being competitive. I always want to challenge myself in soccer and in my academics. Ever since I started playing traveling soccer at age 10, my dream was to play soccer in college. Being part of a team is a great feeling. When my team won our first tournament in penaly kicks, I knew this is what I wanted to do, be a keeper. Watching 'Dare to Dream', the video about the beginning of women's soccer and how they beat China in PKs in 1999, inspires me to work hard. I want to be the best GK I can be. Becoming a starter in college would be the next step in my soccer life. One works hard for a goal, and mine is to help lead my team to victory. I would like to play at the highest level I am capable of and be able to make an impact on the team. I want to pursue my career as a Physical Therapist at a school that will be a match for me in both soccer and academics.
