Personal Statement

My name is Kelli Mueller and I'm eighteen years old.  I've been playing soccer my whole life and I would love to have the opportunity to play at the next level.  I want to attend a college where I can play at a competitive level, grow as a person, and one that also supports my career interests.  My freshman year in high school I started as center back on the JV team and also played some on the varsity squad.  I was captain of the JV team my sophomore season, starting at center back and we went undefeated.  I was playing on the varsity squad as well and halfway through the season, earned a starting spot at outside back.  Over the summer between my sophomore and junior years, I played on a U18 independent, travel team where I started as center back all season.  We participated in 6 competitive tournaments across Illinois, Iowa and the Chicago area, winning three tournaments with a record of 15-4-2.  My Junior season recently ended with a conference championship followed by a close loss in the regional championship match.  I was selected for 'all-conference'.
My grades are also very important to me.  I've been on high honor roll multiple times, I take at least 2 honors classes per year and I have a GPA of 4.6.  A huge honor for me was being inducted into the National Honor Society.  I love to challenge myself in both sports and academics and I will give everything to achieve my goals.  My family and my faith have been instrumental in my development as a person and as a soccer player and I rely on the strength of my faith to accomplish my goals and be as competitive as possible on the soccer field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
