Sofie Immens '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sofie Immens, and it has always been a dream of mine to play collegiate soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was five years old, and since then it has become a huge part of my life. I played many sports growing up, but soccer has always been the most important to me. I have always liked trying new things, and always look for something to challenge me. Going into high school I was a three sport athlete, playing soccer, running cross country, and ski jumping. Athletics took a lot of my time growing up, and without playing sports I would not be the same person I am today. 

This year I gave up my other sports to focus on soccer. I have always known that soccer was the one sport I could not live without, and the decision to stop ski jumping and running cross country was a no-brainer to me. I give 110% at everything I do, every practice and every game. I try to be a leader on and off of the field. I am a very motivated and determined player. 

Growing up in a family full of athletes has taught me a lot of things. I am a team player on the field, at home with my family, and at school with my classmates. I have learned to be dedicated and to always give my best effort. I am dedicated to my education, and getting good grades. I am also dedicated to my family, as they have always been important figures in my life. Being dedicated to soccer, I never miss a practice or a game and I always show up on time. Dedication is one of the most important things that playing sports has taught me. 

Soccer is so important to me, and I hope to live my dreams as a collegiate athlete some day in the near future!
