I have been playing soccer since I was 9 years old, and I love the game. Soccer allows me to be my best; I am a good defender, and an asset to my team. However, academics are of first importance to me. My mom is a half-Latina, half-Maya Indian political refugee from Guatemala, and my dad is a college professor at the University of Idaho. Together they have instilled in me the drive to be the best, and they support me both academically and in sports. My drive to excel earned me spots on the women's varsity soccer team and on the women's varsity track team during my freshman year at Moscow HS, while maintaining a 3.929 average. I am looking for a school where I can follow my dream to obtain a B.S. degree in biology/pre-med, and at the same time allow me to be the best athlete I can be, support my team, and develop my character.
