Cidney Bauwens '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cidney Bauwens  (2018 Grad), I play on the Indie Chicas Velocity U17 club team in Boise Idaho. To tell you a little about myself, I am a center defender for my club, and high school teams. (#11) However, I am comfortable in any defensive position as well as outside and holding mid. As a center back, I am accustomed to being a leader on the field, while remaining a humble team member. I am a well rounded player who is just as comfortable playing with my head as I am with my feet. I work hard to master new technical abilities, and am constantly evaluating the game from a tactical perspective. I adjust rapidly to new teams and coaches, and consider myself to be highly coachable. I train hard on and off the field to ensure that I am fit and skilled enough to do my job to the best of my ability. I am a good student who is in accelerated and AP classes as a sophomore maintaining a 3.3 GPA. I have set myself goals to graduate with a 3.8 or higher and throughout my high school career to maintain between a 3.5 and 4.0. I don’t completely know what I want to major in yet, but I have many interests. I am eager to find a college that is the best fit for me academically, athletically and a place when I can grow socially.
