Garrett Parsons '21 Recruiting Profile

I have loved, and played, baseball since I was three years old. I have competed on many travel and high school baseball teams, and I am working as hard as I can to compete at the next level. This is my dream.  Not to go pro or make millions of dollars, but to make a name for myself and have fun doing it. I want to play for as long as I can, and I will work as hard as possible to make that happen. I am a well-rounded, dedicated, loyal, hard working student athlete.

Academically, I take advanced courses to further my learning and prepare me for college.  I work hard to make sure I do as well in my classes as I can.  I am considering either secondary education or law enforcement as college degrees. I am looking for a college that will help me further my academic and athletic career.

I am a strong hitter in my team’s line up, as I bat lead off. I was in the eighth grade when I made the American Legion summer team. I started out hitting at the bottom of the line up, quickly moving up to third, second and eventually first. I work on my skills constantly, and I have been spending time in the weight room to improve my power and speed. Many coaches have said that I am a natural leader. I strive not only to be an example to other players, but also for our team to be an example to other teams. I am determined to constantly work on leadership, academic and athletic skills to improve my game and work towards college.

I know that with determination, perseverance, and hard work, I will do well academically and athletically both in high school and college.
