I am a 5’6” versatile field player, from Canada. I am a permanent resident of the U.S. (green card holder), and also have dual citizenship (Canada, and the U.K.).
I have played competitive soccer for 9 years. I was selected for the MO ODP State Team in both 2012, and 2013, and I attended the Region II Camp both years. I have been a starter for my high school team since I was a freshman, and I had the most assists and the most points as a defender each year. I will graduate in 2015, and have goals of playing at the college level.
My strengths on the field include winning head-balls and 50/50 balls out of the air, I have a very long throw-in (my throw-ins create lots of scoring opportunities, I have actually scored goals and gotten many assists off of them), and I work really hard, 110% the whole time I am on the field.
I am not afraid to be physical, and I create many turnovers with my slide tackles. I am very strong; other players have a hard time knocking me off of the ball. I am also very dedicated; I enjoy working hard to have a rewarding outcome. I display leadership, on and off the field, (I have been team captain for the majority of the time I have played in STL), and I get along with my teammates. I am also a very positive player on the field, I encourage my teammates when they make errors, or are simply having a bad game.
For most of my soccer career, I was a midfielder. When I was asked to join Lou Fusz Wipke, I was moved to forward. My high school coach put me on defense, and my ODP coach also put me in the back. I have been very successful as a defender thus far.
In college, I plan on studying Pre-Med because I have hopes and aspirations of becoming a sports medicine doctor. I have an excellent work ethic, and commitment level, which I believe will help me be successful both as a college athlete, and as a student in a very demanding field.
