Emily Tylki '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Tylki, I'm from Wethersfield, CT.  I attend Mercy High School in Middletown, CT.  Mercy is a small, Catholic, all girls high school.  I am a member of the class of 2016.  I have been a starter on the Varsity Soccer Team since my Freshman Year.  I also play with the Connecticut Football Club. I started playing soccer when I was 4 years old and have been playing Club Soccer since I was 9 years old.  I play soccer year round as well as lacrosse in the spring for my high school.

I am the youngest of three children. My sister attends the University of Rhode Island and my brother attends Brown University where he is on the football team.  

I am very hard working and have done well on the field and in the classroom.  My tenacious approach in all that I do has helped me to realize that you should never give up on anything and that hard work really does pay off.  I'm willing to put in whatever effort it takes to be successful both athletically and academically.  I think that a program that is demanding and competitive is where I would thrive.  My competitive nature is beneficial and is what drives me to success.
