Desiree Benavidez '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches. My dream is to be able to  play soccer and contribute to the success of a collegiate level team. I'll always work hard and push myself to play as well as I can.  I have a 4.0 GPA and will have taken a total of 7 AP/honors classes by the end of this school year. Although academics is important, soccer is my passion! Practicing or playing a game gets me through the day. I was an ODP player for the state of Nevada and went to regional camp in Idaho. I live in a small town, and played for San Juan Soccer Club for a year which is two hours one way from where I live. This year, I played for Santa Barbara City College, where for the first time in the school's history, we got third place in California and are now ranked number 6 in the nation! I am extremely dedicated and will never give up. My strengths are speed, footskills, vision of the field, and I can play on either side of the field. I may be small, but I always fight for the ball.
