Amy Steele '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11", 140lb soccer player with over 12 years of competitive experience. I am currently a senior in high school at Archbishop Mitty High School. I live in San Jose, CA and have been playing competitively with my club team, CV Flames. In spring of 2009 we won the U15 NORCAL State Cup and went on to play at Surf Cup, Mustang Stampede and Blues Cup and won the Placer Prestige tournament for Super U16. CYSA State Cup 2010 we advanced all the way into the Semi-finals against Mustang Rampage U17. This summer we competed in Blue's, Mustang(2nd place), Pleasanton Rage and will be competing in Surf College Cup over Thanksgiving. Ever since I was a little soccer player I have been wanting to play soccer in college. I am an extremely versatile player and can play anywhere on the field and understand and execute the role of that position. I feel like I have a lot to offer, not only with soccer skill, but also with my leadership and idea of a team. I have learned ways to motivate myself and teammates to make a better environment and successful team. I have very strong academics with a current 4.27 cumulative GPA and continue to take AP and Honors courses while particpating in my club soccer, school soccer, Vasity Field Hockey and Vasity Track. One of the most important college decision factors for my future is the high quality and level of education offered and the high quality of the soccer program.
