Shannon McKee '11 Recruiting Profile

I love soccer and want to play soccer in college. I am 5' 8", 135 pounds. I play outside midfield, some defense, and my club coach has just started playing me at forward. I would play any position my team needs me to play. I have track speed (see below). My club team is Arsenal FC (CalSouth, Coast Soccer League). I am playing on the Arsenal FC ECNL (U18) team. I have been a varsity starter on my high school soccer team since freshman year. I was second team all-league as a freshman, and first team all-league as a sophomore. My junior year I was varsity co-captain, co-MVP, first team all-league, and second team all-area. I have just started my senior season and I am co-captain again. In track I broke the school record in the 200m. My relay teams have broken the school record (4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m) and the league record (4x100m, 4x400m). I am league champion in the 100m (2009, 2010), 200m (2008, 2009), 4x100m (2009, 2010), and 4x400m (2008, 2009, 2010). I was CIF Southern Section Finalist in the 100m (2010), 200m (2008, 2009, 2010), 4x100m relay (2008, 2009, 2010), and 4x400m relay (2008, 2009, 2010). This year I was third at CIF SS Finals in the 200m (25.02). I love to use my speed when I play soccer. I would like to attend a school with strong academics and athletics. It doesn't matter to me whether the college is Division I, II, III, or NAIA. I am currently undecided about what my major will be. Although I would love to start as a freshman, I know that is unlikely. I will work hard to eventually move into a starting position.
