Like all athletes, it has been a goal of mine to play at the collegiate level, ever since I began playing competitive sports. However, another goal of mine is to attain the best educational experience possible. I truly put value into the term STUDENT-athlete, it is important to me to put an equal amount of effort into being a student, as well as an athlete. Something that makes me unique as a student-athlete is that I am always guaranteed to put forth 150% effort into my studies, my work on the field, and my work off the field. I believe that if you aren't leaving your blood, sweat, and tears out on the field every practice, and every game, then you don't deserve to be out there. Personally, I think working harder than everybody else is the most important aspect of playing soccer. Whether you get the result, or not, if you worked as hard as you possibly could, it should be almost satisfying enough. Being a team player is imperative to me. Soccer is a team sport, it requires a very strong bond between you and your teammates, and as an athlete I will always be willing to sacrifice for my team, to build that bond.
