Sarah Tatum '17 Recruiting Profile

Through my hard work and dedication to sports I was honored to have made the varsity girls soccer team both my freshman and sophomore year.  Through my play on the field I was named to the All League team both years and off the field was named a Scholar Athlete.   However, I didn't have to chance to play Junior year due to scheduling surgery for my broken nose in which I had encountered playing soccer prior to high school.  I made the decision to sit out high school season so I would have an opportunity to come back and play for my EGSL club season and National Cup. Coming back was a huge obstacle because I had to learn how to play without being fearful of re-injuring myself. My hard work  payed off as I had the opportunity to be captain of my team and currently I am being given the opportunity to play with the Arsenal ECNL Academy team for the 2016 season.

    Through my trials and difficulties I believe I have gained perspective on how much I enjoy playing soccer and I have the desire and dedication it takes to play college soccer. I’m looking for a college that will fit me both academically and athletically as I continue my pursuit for a lifelong career on and off the field. My dedication and leadership skills would make me a great candidate for your school and I feel I could have an immediate impact on your team.
