Katelyn Amezquita '10 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Katelyn Amezquita and I am a Senior at Schurr High School in Montebello, California. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I currently play for Greater Long Beach Titans Soccer Club at the Silver Elite Level. I played for BRM Rebels in the past. I have been playing club soccer for 7 years now. Previously, I played AYSO soccer. I am a left outside midfielder and can use both my right and left foot. I have started on the Varsity team at Schurr High School since my freshman year. Last year I was awarded MVP - I had the most assists and goals scored, it was an exciting year! I was captain for the 2008/2009 season and am captain for the 2009 - 2010 season. I am a leader on and off the field. I enjoy working with my teammates and encouraging them to do their best. I am also the captain of my club team. Soccer is my life and playing soccer in college is a dream of mine that I would like to become a reality! I am dedicated and goal oriented. I have high expectations for myself and I encourage and motivate others. I work hard in the classroom and on the field! I would like to major in speech pathology and communication disorders.
