Kate Farley '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to attend a four year college, study Exercise and Sports Sciences/Kinesiology and hopefully play college soccer.  My passion is sports, both on and off the field.  I am extremely passionate about soccer and have been since I started playing at 5 years old.

My love for the sport of soccer shows in how I play and how I train.  I have been told by past and current coaches that I see the field and plays developing better than most players.   My distribution of the ball is one of my best assets.  I have a dominant left foot, but over the years I have learned how to score and pass with both feet.  I can play the entire left side of the field, both in offense or defense and as my coach tells me now, the other teams have no answer for me.  

I have been a Captain of my club team since I was 10.  As a freshman in high school I only made the Frosh/Soph team and even though I was disappointed in not making JV or Varsity, I put those feelings aside and gave my all to the team.  As a result I was team captain, team MVP and top goal scorer.   I believe that I lead by example in how I play hard every minute I am on the pitch.  I am a silent leader in that my teammates have told me they follow my lead in games and practices just by watching me.   

I surround myself with friends and mentors who have the same mindset and goals that I do.
