Jane Potter '14 Recruiting Profile

 I am a Senior at Huntington Beach High School.  I have played both All-Star soccer and Club soccer for the last 9 years.  I am starting my 3rd year of Varsity soccer as Captain for my high school team.   Our team has gone to the CIF Southern Section playoffs the last two seasons.   I was selected 2nd Team All League my Junior year, and my goal is to be selected as 1st Team All League this year.  I am an assistant trainer at my high school.  I work with the head trainer several hours a week at all of the school's sporting events.  I help the athletes with all of their training needs.  This type of work will give me valuable experience towards my major to become a nurse.  I would like to be a nurse for special needs children.   

I currently play for Exiles Black U17 which is part of the SCDSL Tier 1.  Last season we competed in Surf Cup, Final Four Showcase, and the Vegas Showcase Tournament.  Our team traveled to New Jersey to compete in the PDA Showcase this May.  We played against 3 of the top teams in the Nation,  tying two of them at 0-0 and winning the other 3-1.  We also competed in the NPL Champions Cup held in Colorado in July making it to the semi-finals.  We finished off our summer season by winning the championship at Surf Cup.  We will be participating in the Thanksgiving Surf Cup Showcase, flight 1.  Followed up by the Vegas Showcase Tournament in March.
