Dear Coach,
My name is Kat Padgett and I am from the beautiful state of California. I am a 5'11" and 160 pound center defender who loves the game of soccer. I watch, eat, breathe, and sleep soccer. I am hoping to find a soccer home at your school! With being tall I pride myself with my ability to win balls in the air and be 100% dependable with every air ball that comes my way. I love the game of soccer and I also love school. A school with a kinesiology/exercise science program will provide me with the best opportunities to pursue a career in physical therapy. My passion for sports and athletics pushes me to pursue this career because I want to help kids with injuries realize that this is not the end of the world. Injuries are a small bump in the road of an athletes career and one can work to overcome those injuries.
Soccer serves as a happy memory and stress reliever for me. Playing with a ball everyday and running with it at my feet is the most liberating feeling. When I am on the soccer field, the worries of next weeks math test go away and all I see are my teammates, who I play for every time I step on that field. I play soccer for the other girls around me that love the game just as much as I do. We share that bond that at the collegiate level pushed us to work harder for each other and for our program. I hope to be a part of a program that is a family. Together a family is unstoppable because they trust and believe in each other on and off the field. I have attributes such as optimism, hard work, integrity, desire, passion, skill, and trust that I hope to bring to your school!
Kat Padgett
