Nathalie Marie '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'5" striker/forward from Berkeley, California. I am now a junor year starter for my varsity Berkeley High School soccer team and was elected MVP as a Sophomore, selected for the 1st team all-conference, and received recognition as a scholar athlete with a 4.0 GPA. I have been selected for the North California 2010-2011 ODP state pool and just recently got invited to attend a National Camp training to be held in December 2011.  In November 2011, I was selected in the U16 ECNL All-Event Team for the 2011-12 ECNL National Showcase Event in Phoenix, AZ.  Unfortunately, I could not play freshman year because I was recovering from an injury. I have been playing soccer for about eight years, including Class 1 club for the past six years, now at Mustang Soccer Club with the U16 Fury team and before at Bay Oaks with the 95 Bombers team. I have a huge love for the game and strive to do my best not only in competition, but also during practices. I demonstrate my leadership by getting everybody motivated before a game and setting a good example for my teammates by my positive attitude, good sportsmanship and strong work ethic. I was the captain of my previous team until I left in 2011. I am interested in schools with a good academic reputation and think I would prefer to attend a school in the west or on the east coast. Enrollment size is not a huge issue for me. Receiving personal attention in the classroom would be ideal, but overall I am open to different types of schools. My goal is to go to an outstanding university with a strong soccer program, where I hope to make an impact on the team.
