Personal Statement

  1. I am a 5'6" 135 pound center mid/center back from Half Moon Bay, California. This past year, I was one of only three freshman to make the Notre Dame Belmont High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team. The highlights of this past season were contributing to a team that won the Arizona Showcase Tournament in December, and then following it up with a third place finish in the DII California Central Coast Section Championships. Our soccer team was one of the most successful in school history. I also earned a varsity letter in swimming in the spring and led the junior varsity water polo team in steals in the fall.
  2. I have grown as a student athlete this year by being pushed both in a college preparatory classroom and on the field surrounded by talented teammates. I am a dedicated student and understand the value of hard work. I come from a family of teachers and school administrators. I would like to study education or physical therapy. I am fully biliterate in Spanish.
  3. This past year I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. Combine that with what I feel are my greatest attributes; tenacity, toughness, endurance and coachability. I know that I have what it takes to play soccer in college. I am interested in all schools within California or close by that would a good fit for me both academically and athletically. My father played college baseball and later became a pro triathlete. My mother held several CCS swim records in the 1980s. I have grown up playing many sports and understand that to play in college takes a special person focused on the sport and good grades. I know I am that person.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
