Victoria Hill '12 Recruiting Profile

I am Victoria Hill from Birmingham, Alabama and I would like to play women's soccer at the collegiate level. I am an upcoming senior at Oak Mountain High School and  recently completed my second season as a starter on the Varsity team.  I play center and outside forward for my team and was selected this year to the Coaches All-Metro 2nd team and made honorable mention on the Birmingham News All-Metro Soccer Team.  I was recently selected to the Birmingham United Soccer Club (BUSA) Elite Club National League (ECNL) team.  For the past three years, I have played for Briarwood Soccer Club and BUSA playing forward for both. I have been the top scorer on all of my teams for the last 7 years. I am known for my work ethic, drive and optimistic attitude both on and off the field. I am highly competitive but I am told that I am very coachable and enjoy learning anything people will teach me. At 5 feet tall and 115 pounds, I can run a 5.0 second 40 yard dash, and I have a 23 inch vertical. I have always lived in the southeast and would like to stay within driving distance of my family, but move someplace and establish my independence. I am open to any type of 4 year residential coeducational college, preferably with an honors program and my major. I am a straight A student, in the top 5 percent of my graduating class, and have scored a 32 on the ACT. My intended major is something in the biology field with an emphasis on pre-veterinary medicine. Since I am planning on becoming a veterinarian, I would like to attend a school that either has, or feeds into, a Veterinary Graduate School. Soccer has been my passion for 13 years, and I would like to continue playing and enjoying it for my first 4 years of college.
