Julia Guidone '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Julia Guidone and I am a Sophmore at Thayer Academy. I am a very outgoing and enthusiastic girl. I am pastionate about everything I do, especially rowing. I currently row on my school's Women's Crew. I have rowed on Thayer Academy's Varsity Fours since 8th grade. I discovered rowing when I was 12 and grew in love with the sport. I feel that the team bonding you have with your boat is like no other. My goal is to row on a Divsion 1 College Team. I participated the Brown Rowing Camp last summer and it was one of the best rowing experiences I have had. I learned the proper form, and rowed in an eight for the first time. I hope to go to a few camps this summer of 2018. Rowing is not the only sport I do, I am also a Synchronized Figure Skater. I skate on a team of 12 girls and we compete during the fall and winter seasons. Academic wise, I enjoy Math and Science. This year I am in Geometry Honors and Integrated Science II Honors (a mix of chemistry, biology, and physics). I really enjoy both and know that I want to something math related in my future. My mother works at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a CPA. I am very intested in accounting, but I also think an actuary position would be enjoyable. I look forward to the next three years of high school career and where ever life takes me next.
