Being the daughter of an Army Officer has given me a profound sense of selfless service. Playing lacrosse has given me a profound sense of pride and accomplishment. As a lacrosse goalie, I put the well-being of my school, my team and my squad before my own. I am committed to my team to go a little further, endure a little longer, and look a little closer to see how I can add to the effort. I am as comfortable outside the cage as I am inside of it. I respect my teammates and trust in the fact that they are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities as well.
Lacrosse has provided me the right combination of proper attitude, willingness to learn and develop to play my best even under the worst conditions. I am hoping to find the right school to grow with, and contribute to. Every lacrosse goalie is going to have their own unique style. Every approach to the game is going to be different. It is important for me to know that I have the freedom to act within my style, as long as it still fits into the team's overall system. I believe I have the skill set, motivation, determination and personal courage to play at the collegiate level. I have the desire to always work at getting better and being the best goalie I can be.
As the last line of defense, a role which is my motivation, I have realized that the best save I can make is the one I don't have to stop the ball. I thrive on having the responsibility to direct my defense to help prevent a shot. I thrive on stopping that shot when all else has failed. I endeavor at handling pressure effectively so that I can get the ball to a teammate successfully.
I strive to make the saves I am supposed to, and regain the confidence when one gets by me. I just love being in the cage.
"You see a bruise. I see a shot that didn't go in." "You see a rebound; I see another chance at a save." "I am a lacrosse goalie and my goal is to deny yours." - Unknown
"When you love you wish to do things for. You wish to sacrifice for. You wish to serve." - Ernest Hemingway
