My name is Mackenzie Galli. I am a Sophomore in the graduating class of 2015 at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I have been playing Lacrosse for seven years and was a midfield starter this year for the Varsity team. My speed, stick skills, and ability to read the field allows me to score, but more importantly, transition the ball up the field and set up plays that led our team to an undefeated 14-0 season in league play.
My ability to switch between my dominant and non-dominant side, dodging ability on attack, and overall aggressiveness on the field earned me a Morning Call honorable mention and nomination for all area where I made it to final cuts.
I play tournament lacrosse for the HEADStrong Foundation and have played for Lehigh Valley Steam as well.
For the past five years I played soccer on defense for Lehigh Valley United, an elite nationally ranked club team.
I am strong academically as well, with honors courses as the majority of my classes. My overall GPA is 4.1. I belong to the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Key Club, and was the Varsity Wrestling manager.
I believe it is important to help others in need, and I actively participate in programs for the Lions Club, Center for Vision Loss, and Miracle League. I am also a cashier at Giant Supermarket, so I'm learning to balance activities and school work to maintain my GPA.
My goal is to receive a degree from a college that will challenge me academically and provide me with the opportunity to proudly represent the school through their Lacrosse program both on and off the field.
