Picking up a girl's lacrosse flyer my freshman year was one of the greatest decisions of my life. I have a passion and love for lacrosse that is greater than for any other sport I've played. Being a figure skater for 10 years, I was able to build a great amount of motivation and dedication that I have applied in ice hockey and lacrosse, as well as my whole life. I am able to be a leader for my teammates and also make sure I am doing everything in my power to contribute to the team's success. My sophomore year our goalie for hockey got injured, and we faced having to forfeit multiple games. With no prior goalie experience I stepped up to the plate and was able to help my team to win multiple games that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to play. I take that mindset, where I am willing to make sacrifices and overcome obstacles for the team's success, and apply it to every aspect of my athletic career. My hard working attitude has allowed me to flourish on the lacrosse field, as well as build my skills rapidly. I also take this hard working attitude off the field. I take many Honors and AP classes, play viola in my school's Symphony Orchestra, tutor French, volunteer for LINK Crew,am in Honor Roll and National Honor Society, and next year will be in my school's nationally ranked DECA program. No matter where I play in college, that team is guaranteed to have a student-athlete who aims to be the hardest worker out on the field and in the classroom!
