Shelby Wilcox '15 Recruiting Profile

As a goaltender, I always give 100% to each game and practice I participate in. I think that communication is a vital part of a successful defense and I am very vocal with my defense. The communication comes with a leadership role, which I believe every goalie should possess and that I can bring to your team. As a goalie, I am good under pressure. In my varsity soccer's division championship game, we played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer and had to take penalty kicks to decide the winner. I saved 2 out of the 3 shots that were taken on frame, winning the division title. I challenge myself academically, by taking AP and IB courses starting in my sophomore year, and still maintain an A average. Due to my academic performance and extracurricular activities, such as National Honor Society, I would be a valuable asset to your school and team.
