Madeline Schleicher '20 Recruiting Profile

I started playing the sport of lacrosse in fourth grade.  I played every Friday night with other boys and girls of all different ages, there were no competitive games, just learning of basic skills. The next couple years I played with only girls with a recreational team. I did not completely fall in love with the sport until I started to play club in 7th grade. In my small beach town of Barnegat NJ, my biggest accomplishment is positively impacting my team to improve the lacrosse program.  As a freshman, I had a big part on the team as an aggressive defender and a tenacious offender. I decided I wanted to play in college when my cousin committed to playing rugby at Penn State. I noticed all the time and effort she put into achieving her goal, and it inspired me. I am determined to do whatever i can to play at the next level, I am responsible and can be counted on. My goal is give my 110% best effort for each and every game and practice. I love the sport of lacrosse more than anything, it’s my biggest wish to play at a higher level.
