Daisy Schuster '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Daisy Schuster. I am 18 years old and live in Barrington; A northwest suburb of Chicago. As a 5' 9" blonde at 120lbs, don't doubt my abilities as a lacrosse player, because I can assure you that I will be one of the fastest out on the field. Utilizing my speed and agility allows me to get to and gain control of the ball. Combining my aggressiveness with my enthusiasm for the sport I believe makes me a good candidate to take any team to the next level. I play defense although I am versatile player with a strong desire to win and open to learning along the way. While putting pressure on my opponent I am always looking for every opportunity to steal the ball, then pass, or run it up the field with the ultimate goal being for a teammate to score. Understanding the dynamics of the game takes a lot of work and its very important to strategically move the ball up the field. I'm a fun loving athletic girl (played on the tennis team for 2 years) and not only do I have respect for myself but also for everyone around me. As the Vice President of U.N.I.C.E.F. and a participant in other charities, I recognize how important it is to give back to those in need and you will find this as part of my character. I very much enjoy engaging and motivating my peers to participate in these endeavors and have so much fun doing it. Being part of a team verses an individual sport is gratifying because we get to work together to achieve our wins and learn from our loses, together. As far as my major I'm undecided, although I am interested in Special Education, Psychology, and International Business. In my free time I enjoy taking part in charity races. The most recent race that I competed in was The Hustle up The Hancock. The Hancock builing is 94 flights of stairs and I managed to get to the top in just under 22 minutes.I am open to any school that offers me an opportunity to play and would love to further discuss any interests you may have. As a player with 4 years of experience I would be thrilled to continuing playing in college anywhere in the U.S. My goal as a successful athlete is to have an impact on the team I'm playing for and future growth and development of women's lacrosse.
