Past -Spring '16: I love ice hockey and will work hard all the time - on or off the ice. I am a team player, passing or helping create the play to get to the net. I volunteered as a 11 year old to man the net when my team needed a goalie. I helped bring our team to the regionals. As head goalie competing for VT state champions, I occasionally played out as center and earned the high scorer during play-offs 2014-2015. This past winter I played on the EJEPL and was high scorer for the regular season games. I look forward to playing in the All Star games in Chicago in May, 2017. I have always played hard and am happiest while competing. I volunteer or participate in as many ice opportunities as possible whether with younger youths or adult leagues. I have attended many camps over the last 10 years. This summer 2017, I will attend Stanstead again, Summit at UVM, and New England Selects for the second year. I have had a high school prep offer and if my parents had the cash flow, I would definitely be attending as a freshman. Perhaps next year. Prior to goalie, I have always played D, the last couple of years moved around as a utility player as coaches needed me - I will gladly play any position as needed. My parents could not afford the additional net gear (along with supporting 4 other family hockey players skate out gear), so I started a summer business doing nails and earned enough money as a 12 year old to buy my own used goalie gear. I want to go as far as possible and as long as possible playing ice hockey - I dream big. I enjoy life, known for my smile and spend off time doing other recreational things (tennis, hiking, paddle board, & x-c skiing), but hockey is my passion. This year I have 5 team options for next winter and it is a hard choice because I want to play on them all!
1/1/18 Update: I choose to play on the Vermont Flames winter team, starting in August'17 and ends February'18. We travel all over NE, NY, and Canada. I play left wing or center for them. I also play on a local high school team in Stowe, VT with my older sister. We are on the first line and are having a blast. I am presently the high scorer with 6 goals. I have subbed in for the Vermont Shamrocks U14, VT Stars U19 & a Beantown pick up team throughout the summer & fall. We came in second place against the Boston Bandits in the last U14 tournament - Cranberry Classic Tournament, with only 9 skaters - lots of ice time:) I am planing on playing spring hockey with the Shamrocks, Stars, Flames and travel to Germany with a North American team next summer (if funds come through.)
