I live in Northern Ontario so we only have one female team per age category resulting in teams to be classified lower because of the diverse skill levels. I have played AA boys but currently play BB bantam girls (currently ranked #1 in the Province of Ontario and the only girls team in our district). I was asked to play AA in another city however, I felt 14 was too young to leave home. I am now ready to make the leap.
I have won gold and two bronze medals in provincials since playing on a girls team.
I was scouted and invited to attend the RUSH showcase three times and accepted to the U16 Ontario camp/try outs last summer and just received confirmation to attend this summer. I have had three years of over 100 points between goals and assists and recently asked to attend a practice with a PWHL (Provincial Women's Hockey League) team.
I am very fast on skates. Solid, aggressive and always back checking. My head is always up looking for the pass. Goals are awesome but a beautiful play to the defence for the assist is even better.
I also play highschool hockey winning silver in the NEOAA and volleyball winning gold in the NEOAA. Track season starts soon which I compete as a short distance sprinter often in the top three. I am in grade 9 and turned 15 in February.
I have committed to multiple sports teams this year and attend all practices and games for hockey, volleyball and basketball, sometimes 4 hours a night between them all. Juggling my schedule all while holding an 86% overall average for my first semester of highschool.
I am very competitive and love sports. I am not 100% sure what my future holds but I am leaning to the medical field and playing competitive sports throughout. Hoping one day to get to the next level.
Growing up in the great outdoors allowed me to have a love for the wilderness. Boating and four wheeling is natural and relaxing but I must say, I have developed a very accurate shot when hunting and challenge anybody to a fishing derby.
