I am looking for a school that will accommodate my academic needs, and still allow me to play hockey throughout. Academics come first in my mind, but hockey is something I am still very interested in pursuing for the future. I am a very hard-working, determined individual. I set goals, and work until I achieve them, and it is what has helped me get this far. I have learned how to time manage, having to balance difficult academics and traveling every weekend has taught me to do so. Academically, I push myself very hard to do the best that I can in the hard classes that I place myself in. Athletically, I love to lead by example. I've learned that its hard to earn respect if you are uncertain or hesitant in directing someone. I love the team atmosphere of hockey, the team becomes a family. It provides another level to the game that would be absent without a group of driven people, with similar goals and aspirations surrounding you. Juggling academics, hockey, and extracurricular activities, I have learned a lot about patience and working for what you want. Without pushing myself and filling a lot of my time, I would not know my limits academically or physically.
