My name is Courtney Dudgeon, I'm a Senior at Sun Prairie High School in Sun Prairie, WI. I've played on the girls golf team since I was a freshman and have started in the #1 position all four years. This year, our team was able to advance to Sectionals and I personally missed going to State by just a few shots. I was recently awarded 1st Team All Conference for the second year in a row. In addition to golf, I also play hockey for my high school team.
When it comes to school or athletics, my approach has always been to do a little bit more than what is expected and to lead by example. I’ve found that coming to practice a little bit early and staying a little bit longer, or taking time outside of practice to work on certain aspects of my game in order to get better pays huge dividends.
Over the past few months I've had a number of schools reach out to me, many of them offering either a full or partial scholarship. At this point, I'm still undecided and continue to search for the best opportunity . Ideally, I’d like to attend a larger school, but most importantly I’d like the opportunity to continue playing golf while furthering my education.
