I've been fortunate to have many great coaches that have seen my potential and have helped make me a better person both on and off the field. To be successful as a soccer player you need to play as a member of a group as soccer is definitely not an individual sport. Strong communication, trust in your team, leadership, and dedication are all traits I excel at and aspects of the game that I know will benefit me both as a player and as a person. Soccer is commonly called "the beautiful game" and to be part of a team and to be counted on for my leadership, support, abilities, and desire to constantly improve is what drives me. The thing I like most about soccer is that I have to use my mind as much as my body and that is the beauty I see when I play. I excel at both the tactical and technical components of the game and having a high soccer IQ makes me a top performer.
Playing soccer at a college level for me personally is about pushing myself to perform at a high level in both academics and sports. Finding a fit that will blend both my education and my love for the game and ability to play at a high level is my goal and I hope to explore as many opportunities as possible moving forward. This will be a new beginning for me and I will have a lot more to give to the game at this level. Playing soccer at a college level means everything to me because I know I won't be done playing once I graduate from High School. There will be a time that comes when I physically cannot play the game anymore, but hopefully that will be well after I have graduated from college. When that time does come, I hope to take the lessons I've learned and pass it down to younger players potentially as a youth soccer coach.
