I came to the United states in 2006 from China. I learned English pretty easy and adapted to the culture. My parents and brother are all golfers and I was not very interested in the sport. In my freshman year I was able to practice with the high school golf team. I still had no intreset but match play was very exciting to me. In my sophmore year at a 7A school in Georgia I fell in love with the game of golf. This year of my junior year we had moved to Florida and I joined the Martin County golf team. I won player of the year and district in a 3 hole playoff. I was still very new at golf so my parents sent me to Sea Island to start lessons with Jared Zak. He has given me a confident swing and also a lot more yardage off the tee. I also worked with Mike Shannon on puting and he has helped me so much. I continue to go to Sea Island once every 6 weeks to work with Jared. I love to practice and spend the afternoons on the range or the course. I am still learning about tournament play , but i plan to work very hard. My hobbies include photography and cooking. I love to travel and take pictures and love to cook new dinners for my family. I have decided to do Veritas Scholars Prep Academy for my senior year so I can spend more time on my golf game. I am very excited about this and also it is a classical education which I enjoy. I am a very social person and believe that I can add value to a golf team. I am looking forward to this year to see what opportunities come my way!
