I have always been an athlete and a student. I don’t know any other way of life. It is just who I am as a person. I am accustomed to playing multiple sports and maintaining high academic standards at the same time. During my athletic career, I have played soccer, volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball, basketball, golf, and was an avid skier. Additionally, I won the Philadelphia Eagles Punt, Pass, and Kick contest finishing in second place my first year and winning the second year. I have played against high-level competition as a pitcher for both my U-16 and U-18 tournament softball teams as a 14-year-old and as an AAU basketball tournament player. As I moved into high school, I made the difficult decision to focus my energy primarily on competitive golf and my academics.
I feel like playing all those sports has helped me learn how to manage my time better. They have also taught me about what it takes to be a valuable member of a team and it is what I miss most about playing those other sports. No matter what sport, even in golf, I still play my best when the team needs it. I believe these attributes will make me an asset to any collegiate golf team and I look forward to the academic and athletic opportunities that lie ahead.
