Meghan Finley '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Meghan Finley I am 17 years old. I live in Kent Ohio and attend Theodore Roosevelt High School where I have played three years of golf on the boys team and just finished my season as the captain of the first ever girls team as a senior. Throughout my three years on the boys team I qualified for the District Tournament my sophomore and junior year and also qualified this year. This year I shot a 79 in the District Tournament missing the state qualifier by two strokes.  In the begining of the school season I improved my average both on 18 and 9 holes to a 42.3 on 9 and an 84.3 on 18. My long term goal has been to play golf at the collegiate level whether it be division one, two, or three. I am interested in playing at a school within 4-5 hours from my home. I am looking for a medium to large University with a Psycholocgy major. I am a very fun and outgoing girl and can bring a lot of energy to any team. Since having fun is not the first priority while playing a sport, I can also bring dedication, hard work, and leadership to the team. I am willing to do whatever it takes to play at the next level. It has been my dream and aspiration to play collegiate golf and I look forward to making that come true.
