Since 6th grade, I have been setting goals and dreams for myself, starting with trying out for the Boys Varsity Golf Team in 8th grade, and now this year getting accepted to play in The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and being paired up with Rocco Mediate as my partner.
I am very excited about having a chance to play golf at the collegiate level. I have established short term goals to attend a college that will provide me with an education that will help with my future plans and goals. I am looking for a coach that can help improve my game and mental game. A coach who can inspire me on and off the golf course, and guide me in the right direction. I would like nothing more than to be able to join a team that I can make strong friendships and have goals for each season and plans for improvement. My long term goal is to become a PGA teaching professional and be able to teach kids, like The First Tee, and later be able to try for the LPGA tour. With that goal I am hoping that the college I attend helps me become a better competitive golfer and improve my game. I just want the chance to finally be on a team with all girls and feel a part of a team.
My past has shaped me to become the person I am today, and without golf I don't know which kind of path I would have gone down. The obstacles I have overcome made me a stronger and more indpendent person.
