Personal Statement

I started playing golf because when I was 13 my Pa bought me a set of golf clubs and it kind of became our thing. I would go to his house twice a week and we would just practice and play. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed spending time with my Pa. My Pa and I always used to talk about me playing in college and I told him that’s exactly what I wanted to do because I love the sport so much. On August 3rd, 2010, I was playing golf with my Dad in Florida. I walked up to the third hole and took my six iron and smacked it. It flew up the fairway and rolled onto the green. I could hear the  “clank” noise the ball made as it hit the pin. I was freaking out on the course and my  dad and I jumped in the golf cart and drove on the green to find my ball sitting in the hole. I dedicate my hole in one to my Pa who passed away November of 2010.  Even though he isn’t here with me playing golf, I still continue to play strong and have fun, just like he told me.
