Personal Statement

Playing golf at a collegiate level would be an amazing accomplishment for me and would allow me to keep playing competitively in the sport that I have been playing for the past nine years of my life. Growing up golf was never considered just a hobby to me or something I did every once in a while. It has always been something that I knew even when growing older I could still play throughout my life and playing collegiately would guarantee that I would not only be going to a great college but also I could play golf every single day. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else than accomplishing my major in Business and Marketing while being allowed to represent my school on the golf course. I would be a good candidate to be apart of your golf team because continuing to play a sport in college takes passion and if you don't have that passion like I do then your not only not representing yourself in the right ways but your representing your school in negative ways as well. I think I am different from other recruits because golf is not just something that changed my athletic abilities but golf overall changed me a lot as a person. When I was younger I used to be a very shy kid who never talked or interacted with other people. Although when I started golf it changed me for the better allowing me to still be a quite individual at times but meeting new people along the way made me more outgoing and talkative toward others. Not only that but I have become a very decisive person, I know what I want and I got for it. Golf is a very mental sport and you have to be committed to every shot in order to play at your best but also you have to be willing to hit shots from situations that are unseen before. Throughout high school I have done the same with academics, some classes I love and will put a lot of effort into them but if it is a difficult class I always try to adjust in my own ways, not really knowing how it might turn out in the end. Golf created the person I am today in life and I would be honored to continue playing for the next four years of my life and represent your school.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
