Samantha Rocha '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samantha Rocha and I am 16 years old.  I am a senior at Cerritos High School, and I am currently the captain of the Girls Golf team.  I have always been the type of person who strives to be the best and will do anything I can to be the best that I can be.  Even though golf is an individual sport and you're on your own while you play, I consider myself a team player.  I love to encourage my teammates and also help them improve their game.  I know that I am capable of achieving a lot, and I will do whatever it takes to reach my goals.  I am a hard worker and self motivated.

I began to play golf when I was a freshman in high school and I improved a lot in these 3 years.  I am still getting better and I do not think that my skills have stayed the same. Since I started enjoying golf, it became my dream to play collegiate golf and receive a great education.  I can see myself not only becoming a better golfer, but becoming a better human being as well.  I will be the first in my family to be a student athlete in college and I will make sure that I make my family, my school, and most importantly, myself proud of the person who I am and who I will become.

I believe that I would be a great addition to any collegiate team.  I think that my positive attitude and my work ethic would greatly contribute to a women's golf team.
