I am a very determined and hardworking person. I am very Coachable and love to try a new way with my golf game. I know i may not be perfect, but I will strive to become stronger and better than I was yesterday. I believe if you want something in life, you have to work for it. Nothing in life is handed to you on a silver platter. I currently have a 3.6 G.P.A. at Deer Valley High School and have a had a 3.0 or above since sixth grade. I keep a very scheduled routine and am very organized with my studies and sports.
This season my team and I went 7 and 3. We placed First in our League Tournament shooting a 491. I shot a 96, and had my first Hole-In-One at this tournament. We beat our top two competitors by One stroke! I shot my Hole-In-One at The Golf Course in Brentwood, California at The Nines Golf Course, on Creekside on hole #6, a par three and 108 yards.
I'm very approachable and encouraging towards others. I believe in good karma, what goes around, comes around. I think that anything and everything you do should be for the good of the team. The things you do in the classroom can affect your teammates as well as yourself. You're only as good as your weakest link. I began playing golf in the Fall of my Sophomore year. I was involved in the First Tee as a young child as well, but began playing seriously in high school. This game has opened so many opportunities for me and I believe that everyone should be involved in such a wonderful opportunity. Golf has taught me so much more then how to swing a club. It has taught me balance, determination, discipline, and integrity. It has taught me that not every shot you take is going to lead you to where you want to be, it leads you to where you need to be. Golf has taught me how to overcome my fear of preforming badly in front of people. Truth is, you're going to fall down sometimes, but it's whether or not you choose to get back up and try again that matters.
I am an active coach for the First Tee of Contra Costa County and will continue to coach until I'm not able to. I love helping young golfers understand the game and realize how much of our lives are used in the game of golf. I do a lot of volunteer work with my church, the elementary school, and with other organizations that need an extra set of hands. I value tradition and values. I am the youngest member of the Antioch Historical Society and currently do volunteer work for them.
I want to go to college and nothing will step in my way of a good education. I will be the first in my family to go to college. I was to study to become an Elementary School Teacher. I remember how hard it was for me in school to focus( I had Attention Defict Hyperactive Disorder) and I want to be the example to children with learning disabilities, that it is possible to achieve your goals. I've always wanted to go to college and I plan to graduate with a G.P.A. of 3.5 or above. While playing golf and continuing with my extra-curricular activities. I realize that college athletes do a lot more than play on a course, field or track, their academics come first and that's where my priorities are.
