I am a senior at Parma Senior High School and have just completed my second year of diving at the division one level. I am a member of USA diving under the Cleveland Area Diving program and last spring I competed in my first regional dive meet. Last year I placed 2nd in my sectional, 5th in my district, and 20th at the division one state meet. I currently participate on one and three meter spring boards and I am working on five meter platform. I enjoy the individuality of diving, along with being part of a team and socializing with new people. I also respond well to coaching, and I am willing to try new dives. I feel that I have a high ceiling to learn and improve on what I already know. For example, I have added at least five new dives in the past three months. At my high school, I am an active member of the following clubs: drama club, student ambassadors, and student council. I am also part of my school's link crew, which parters high schoolers with eighth graders in order to prepare them for high school. I am also a cheerleader who has been cheering at the varsity level since my freshman year. My current grade point average is 3.43 and I hope to pursue a career in education, but I am open to other majors. I also hope to become a coach one day.
