I started playing basketball at the age of three. My parents signed me up just to give me something to do and I've been in love with the game ever since. Throughout the years I've learned how much hard work, commitment, and dedication it takes to improve myself and be successful. I've learned a lot about myself such as how to be a leader and how to be a good teammate. My teammates mean the world to me. I've learned that I'm a very competitive person in everything I do. Basketball has taught me to value team work, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership skills.
School work is very important. Being a student athlete can be a difficult task at times but I've learned how to balance school work with basketball. I have also learned how to manage my time wisely because I know how important school work is. That is why I'm looking for a program that will not only be a good athletic fit but a good academic for me as well. I believe I have the work ethic, character, commitment, and leadership skills to bring to a college program.
