From as far as I can remember, basketball has always been a main focus in my life. In the beginning, it was just a sport that was fun and eventually I began better than the others around me. I learned to love the game for the excitement and joy that can come from it. Furthermore, what makes me stand out as a player is my joy for the game whether it's on the bench or picking my teammates up on the court. Since playing at the high school level, I have learned that my athletics are just as important as my academics. Additionally, I have learned to balance my time as well as to use my time wisely. In the future, I want my school to recognize the importance of both athletics and academics. My goal for my future is to play basketball at a competitive level where those around me love the game as much as I do.
