Since, my sister has been enrolled in Duke, and graduated with perfect grades and valedictorian, it has been an inspiration for me to follow her footsteps. Ever since I was 10, my dream school was Duke. I wanted to work with the players, and be just as well as them. Even though I am only in the eighth grade, I am pushing myself to get better and do what's necessary. I already receive great grades in school, which is no problem, but the basketball part is what I need to focus on as well. If I want to be in the college level, and play the top schools in the country, I have to focus on my future, and what is present right now, and one day I can be a Duke player. Something that makes me different from others, is my work ethic. I feel as that I work hard, and push myself to new things I haven't tried everyday. To me, basketball is a relation to life. Basically if you don't do well, your coach sits you on the bench, and life, lets say you receive poor grades. But, I know education and basketball is my two main points in life, and Duke, hopefully will play a big role in my future.
