My name is Cassandra, but it was difficult to spell in Kindergarten, so I shortened it to KC. I am 5' 9" and have loved any sport that required a ball since I was a young girl. I attend Hurricane High School, which is a 3A school in southern Utah. I have a 3.89 GPA and scored a 23 on the most recent ACT. Because of my busy schedule, I have a real knack of balancing school, extra-curricular activities, and sports. I have intently pursued the sport of basketball, studying all the greats, such as Pistol Pete, Michael Jordan and Lebron James. My first love was softball, but became secondary after being introduced to basketball. I do play all three sports during the school year-Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball. I am the tallest player in all three
sports, which has required me to hone my skills even more. It drives my parents bananas because I am the first on the court and always the last to leave. I am confident in my skills in a player of any sport, especially basketball. I would like to contribute to a team that is willing to work just as hard as I do.
I would like to attend a smaller university because of the more hands-on approach with the instructors, but I am open to attending larger universities and colleges. The Western region colleges and universities are more important to me because of proximity to my family. I have a twin brother who will also be attending college at the same time that I am, which will cause a financial burden for my family. I would like to pursue a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History, Agriculture, or Music.
